Launching Personify Health: A Personalized Health Platform

In September 2023, Virgin Pulse and HealthComp merged to form Personify Health, the first personalized health platform of its kind. Our team at Prophet was tasked with building this brand from the ground up, creating its name, identity, and digital experience. By centering our work on Personify Health’s mission to engage and empower people, we delivered a cohesive and human-centric brand, culminating in a website designed to unify diverse audiences and drive business results.


the problem

Personify Health was born out of a merger between Virgin Pulse, a leader in digital health and wellbeing, and HealthComp, the largest independent health-plan administrator. The new entity needed a name, strategy, and identity that could convey its innovative, holistic approach to health benefits administration, wellbeing programs, and data-backed analytical tools—all delivered through a unified platform.

The challenge was not just launching a new company but introducing a new category: a personalized health platform. This required shifting the narrative from traditional health services to one of connectivity, engagement, and human-centric solutions, all while uniting the employees, customers, and stakeholders of the two legacy brands.


the solution

To address the challenge, we recommended creating a new brand to signal transformation and set a bold vision for the future. The name Personify Health emphasized the company’s people-first focus, paired with the tagline “Because health is personal” to underscore its mission of bringing humanity back into healthcare. A distinctive visual identity, anchored by the warm yellow color palette and the emotive brandmark Percy, balanced bold, consumer-friendly elements with a professional B2B expression.

A central component of the new brand was the website, designed to:

  • Showcase Personify Health’s integrated solutions and unique value proposition.

  • Highlight the brand’s people-first mission through clean, accessible design.

  • Drive business outcomes, including qualified lead generation.

Built with a modular design approach, the site ensures scalability and flexibility for future updates while streamlining navigation and enhancing engagement. Guided by user personas, the website strategy prioritized tailored messaging and intuitive user journeys to present a unified brand story.

This forward-looking platform not only supports the launch but also equips the Personify Health team to grow and adapt as needed, solidifying its position as a leader in personalized healthcare.


the results

The launch of Personify Health in February 2024 was met with enthusiasm from employees, customers, and industry stakeholders. The brand’s unveiling generated immediate engagement, including:

  • 10 original media articles in the first two weeks, driving 6.1M+ impressions.

  • 12,000+ impressions on CEO Chris Michalak’s LinkedIn announcement within 8 hours, with over 600 reactions, comments, and shares.

  • Strong internal adoption, with employees rallying around the name, positioning, and brand expression after its preview during a company town hall.
